Summary of the House Committee Version of the Bill

SCS SB 966 -- SPECIAL LICENSE PLATE

SPONSOR:  Kennedy (Gambaro)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulations by a vote of 8 to 0.

This substitute allows for a special license plate bearing the
emblem of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.  To obtain the
plate, a person must get a use authorization statement ($25
contribution) from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and present
the statement along with any other documents which may be
required and payment of a $15 fee in addition to the regular
registration fees to the Department of Revenue.  The fee for
personalized license plates will not be required.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this license plate will give
recognition to the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Kennedy.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
